We may need to ask for a monthly license fee – I will have to check on this. Is
that something that you would be able to fit into your budget?

Nick,

Thanks for the quote. One last question: is there an issue to distribute the
generated audio files as part of a Free Software project? We release our
code/data under the GNU AGPLv3 and Creative Commons CC-BY-SA.

Xavier.

Xavier,

Here are our price points for conversions (1 credit is 1 word converted):

Premium voices (male and female):

• 10,000 credits for $499

• 100,000 credits for $2,499

• 1,000,000 credits for $12,499

Standard voice (female only):

• 10,000 credits for $149

• 100,000 credits for $749

• 1,000,000 credits for $3,749

As you can see, we offer significant volume discounts based on how much you
purchase at once.

Sure - it will be a freemium game. Free to play, but to get some options/items
players would need to pay.

Thanks Xavier,

Based on your estimates, you will need around 15k to 20k words to start.

If you don't mind me asking, how do you plan to monetize the free game? Our
pricing model typically works off the number of words converted, and with user
generated content, that can build very quickly.

Sure - it's a free software Web game, where the player has the role of a secret
agent. We would use the voices to give instructions to the player, and walk him
through the mission.

At the beginning, the volume of words would be low (about 1.5K/2K words /
mission, we currently have 8 missions). But if the concept is validated, it
would likely increase a lot - especially because we plan to let the players
create their own missions.

Xavier.
