I've tried a lot to think about automating things here, and aside from splitting the mailing-list into as many MLs as topics, I couldn't think of a simple and straightforward way to do this without some manual work. There will always be missing tags from subjects, answers in threads that don't belong there, etc. Also, some of the discussions are very long, and while I still need to have a look at the results of the poll, I think it would probably help a lot of people to get summaries. It would also allow us to feed the blog and social networks, which will be important for community building. If you have a better idea on how to do this, let me know though.
