Hello, I realized my testcase using the bareos packages provided by Debian 9 Repos. They are quite current and work fine. Also it was easy to build backported packages for Jessie based on the Stretch sources using one existing Jessie backport. So I can use great features like "client initiated connections" also on older Jessie nodes. But have a shiny new backup server with Debian 9 and its full security support span.
