Hi Pierre, Sounds good. I don't have a patch yet for you to test, but you can get started compiling your own debian packages.
See the documentation at http://netdirect.ca/barry Specifically: http://www.netdirect.ca/software/packages/barry/cvs.php There's a link to a dependency page from the above page, which lists the packages you'll want to install. Also install 'fakeroot' and 'cdbs'. Then remove all the Ubuntu Barry packages, and build your own, with: cd barry git clean -xdf ./buildgen.sh fakeroot -- debian/rules binary This creates a bunch of .deb files in the parent directory. If you run into problems, let me know. Also, if you could subscribe to the mailing list, that would be ideal. It is fairly low traffic, and good to keep all the developers and testers on the same page. You can always unsubscribe after it works for you. :-) Thanks, - Chris On Thu, Jan 28, 2010 at 11:24:48PM +0100, Pierre Pietri wrote: > Hello, > > > Of course, I would ! > > Some times ago, I made a lot of development in Microsoft environment > (basic, VB, C, C++), but it was before I turned to Linux. > > On linux, I have no experience and I'm not sure I installed the proper > tools. > So, I'll need a minimal initiation at the beginning (which packages to > install...) but I guess it'll go fine quickly. > > I'd be delighted to modestly participate in building such a tool. > > > Cheerfully, > > > Pierre Pietri > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Planet: dedicated and managed hosting, cloud storage, colocation Stay online with enterprise data centers and the best network in the business Choose flexible plans and management services without long-term contracts Personal 24x7 support from experience hosting pros just a phone call away. http://p.sf.net/sfu/theplanet-com _______________________________________________ Barry-devel mailing list Barry-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/barry-devel
