The Dublin Hacienda Crossing IMAX is a purpose-built IMAX, not a retrofit.  It
has the stadium seating and the curved screen.  I don't thnik it is quite as
large as the Metreon IMAX, but the parking is free.

Just a follow-up:  Browsing the Yelp reviews of a bunch of the
aforementioned theatres tends to support my understanding of the
situation:

E.g., AMC Mercado 20 has stadium seating and a relatively decent-sized
(but not ideal) screen, but the screen is _flat_.  Really good IMAX 3D
screens such as the Metreon's are curved, so that the viewing angle is
good from essentially any seat.

AMC Cupertino Square 16 (a super-nice cinema generally, and a
surprisingly good reason to visit the old Mall Formerly Known as Vallco)
doesn't have a full-sized screen.

Some commentators say the Regal Hacienda Crossings IMAX, Dublin is a
full "IMAX 3D" venue worthy of comparison against the Metreon's screen.
