        I'm not sure why it works for me but it is. After seeing this thread I 
thought I'd try it. 
        
        I've got a Powerbook and a MacMini both running osX 10.4.6 + BBE 8.2.5 
with filesharing turned on both macs and logged into one from the other. And, I 
can open and use BBEdit on both macs simultaneously without this quit prompt 
appearing. Umm, maybe an appletalk issue (mines off)?

        The MacMini is kind of my backup machine that I rarely use and never 
really need to run BBE on both macs. I've never tried this before so, it's not 
like I've made an effort to circumvent the prompt.
