Just curious, are people also using the "shell worksheet" in BBEdit?
(I'm trying it in version 8.6.2). I see Rich Siegel asked in this
thread but nobody replied.

It's a bit more MPW-like than ShellService, particularly when combined
with the bbedit command-line tool and also when executing multiple
lines of input (which ShellService doesn't do currently). It also
prints output progressively as it's received rather than when the
command is complete - I don't think the pasteboard-based Services Menu
will permit this. I suppose the downside is that it's a special
document format, i.e. you can't use shell worksheet features in just
any text or source file.

Looking back at the original request - for an easy way when editing a
SQL file to run a snippet of SQL in a terminal - I'm not sure that
either ShellService or shell worksheet is quite what you're after,
since you're probably working interactively in your dbms shell and you
probably don't want the output to be inserted in your .sql document.
Perhaps what you're after is a more dbms-specific plugin, kind of like
some of the Eclipse plugins out there, although I think most of them
will run the whole SQL file against an active database rather than
just a line of it.
