I completely disagree with that.  Messages such as that from the OP
are born of pure frustration.  As a developer (or designer of any
product) you should absolutely want to know why your product is
causing such levels of frustration among your customer base,
especially when it's clearly not an isolated incident.  To disregard
it without consideration would be arrogant.

I think Neil's second paragraph in his response to my post is dead on.

I'll also point out that I'm just a casual observer here.  I just
bought BBE last December because it was on sale.  I haven't yet
incorporated it into any kind of a regular routine so I have no strong
attachments to any particular feature.  I have a completely objective
view on the situation and I can see clearly that there's a problem
afoot and squashing the complainers isn't going to help anything.

Kinda like Lion.  And Firefox.  And Ubuntu, and GNOME, and Windows 8,
and...
