b43 is showing no errors; therefore the problem is somewhere else. We need to 
see the output of the
following:

iwconfig
ifconfig
iwlist scan
the part of dmesg that follows the b43 "Loading firmware" message.

Are you using NetworkManager of the traditional ifup/ifdown method?
