Actually, Peter, I've had my field broadcaster for almost 6 years, and my oldest hive for three. Everyone who knows bees remarks on the vitality of that hive. The newest hive was just installed this spring and is still getting up to speed, a bit slowly. I've always assumed that the broadcaster had a positive influence, but I feel that the essential oils help as well, especially in preparation for our long, cold winters, when diseases can flourish.
