----------------------------------------------------------- From: Mrinal Message 7 in Discussion Hi Guys , I don't claim myself to be a security expert or for that matter any kind of any expert , but still found this discussion as very very interesting and felt like contributing something : For those having big claims for windows , have a look at following links to clear up the picture a bit : Something Related to Windows 2003 RPC DCOM Exploit http://packetstorm.linuxsecurity.com/0308-exploits/oc192-dcom.c Hackers who broke windows : http://www.securityfocus.com/news/6519 further there are couple of details available at : http://packetstorm.linuxsecurity.com/ and further i would like to add guys , let's not bitter about this discussion and let's contribute for maximizing community knowledge , as neither i am a linux designer or expert and for that matter all those who are highly pro windows are surely not windows designers . Any software without a single bug or problem will be too idealistic , then what will people in microsoft do . Microsoft should also give a part of credit of their security initiative to these hackers , who made them realize that they should do it .
