Like Jonathan mentioned, the cleanup utility can sometimes work. Most times,
however, this usually does not.

We had to learn about these issues the hard way. If only we had Colin's
response a year or so ago. We've gotten into a routine that either we do either
of the following:

1. Check our reference list of Blackberry users before moving a mailbox. If the
plan is to move to the same information store or storage group, we will
sometimes first move the mailbox to a different Exchange Server first, the copy
it back. Usually, this is only in extreme circumstances. We are small enough
that the BlackBerry Enterprise Server user list is not unbearable to browse
through, but we're slowly growing and will have to revisit this.

2. Most mailbox moves are done during Change Management timeframes in the early
morning. If mailboxes are moved for users on our BES, we generally include
restarting the BES Services to avoid these problems.

When you move email users with in your organization, you need to make
sure they move to a different server or at least a different storage
group. If you move the user to a different information store within
the same storage group, the BES will lose track of the mailbox. If
you need to move the user within the same storage group, you will need
to delete the BB account and re-add after the move is complete.
