Don't know about 5. But I used to get this frequently since we had complex passwords enabled too, and it worked the way it says, I set the password when it was already locked and it did update. You should see something like Password Set in the last result field if I remember correctly. Sincerely,

All, One of my BES 5.0 users forgot his password. I used the BAS to set a new password and lock the handheld, but the new password never got applied to the device. When I tested this with my own Blackberry, it seems that the new password only got applied when the handheld was unlocked in the first place. Can someone confirm this is the correct behaviour / by design / not a bug etc? I can see why it would this way, so no problem really. Thanks Richard
