If the user is attached to a BES the data will be in their mailbox and by NOT deleting the account from the BES when introducing a new device the config database will hold the "unique" setting on the device. If you are on BES 5 you can use Webdesktop to backup the device (will not backup a media card). With this combination you can come very close to duplicating the setup a user had.
