I'm getting confused again.
I have the following
$ ls -al *.dll
-rwxrwxrwa 1 samsung-laptop\mike samsung-laptop\None 1662976 Mar 17
19:59 j.dll
-rwxrwxrwa 1 samsung-laptop\mike samsung-laptop\None 1689088 Mar 23
10:55 jqt.dll
$ ls -al *.exe
-rwxrwxrwa 1 samsung-laptop\mike samsung-laptop\None 155648 Mar 17
19:59 jconsole.exe
-rwxrwxrwa 1 samsung-laptop\mike samsung-laptop\None 155648 Mar 23
10:56 jqt.exe
$ pwd
D:/j801/bin
I had just located and downloaded the zip file j801a_win32.zip which
does not contain jqt.dll, nor jqt.exe
Where are these two files to be found when we need them? Is that what
install 'qtide' does - it's not clear to me what's happening when I do
that.
I suppose I'm being obtuse - we say "thick" here! - but despite all the
help and faq sprinkled around it's not too obvious what needs doing when.

This should be the same issue as the keyboard entry problem in
32-bit windows.
