As I write this, I tried an experiment. I tried to copy some examples from an email authored by Roger. Because of the control/command issues, I had to use command+c to copy 4 lines, then control+v to paste them (or use the dreaded mouse) -
Then I realized that I have become fond of using my 5 button mouse on the Mac (ja, I know, PC users have had 2 or 3 buttons for years). And of course, the mouse buttons don't work at all in the jIDE - adding to the woes. Right click? Forget it... I am happy to report that the vertical scroll wheel does scroll the ijx window vertically, but sadly the horizontal scroll wheel doesn't work (sigh)... (actually in the Mac "super mouse" the middle "button" is a tiny track ball.) While fiddling with this, I found another interesting thing. The copy I used for my test was of the lines I complained about earlier concerning x. y. issues, namely - add =: 4 : 'x.+y.' add add =: 4 : 'x.+y.' |spelling error | x.+y. | ^ | add=: 4 :'x.+y.' What this shows is that 9!: 48 '' 0 is as advertised in the n beta note IF i use IDE instead of jconsole. I guess this means that this default is set somewhere different for jconsole versus IDE. Also, I had to try several times before I got the above two cut/pastes to work from IDE to Eudora mail...) - joey ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
