I just ran beta w on Linux and the results are
the same as on previous beta: the sizes do not
match with Windows.

To reproduce (it easier, of you run Linux in Virtual PC):

 - On Linux run fontfit.ijs (Arial will map to SansSerif--OK)
   from http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Scripts/Font_Fit
 - take a screenshot

 - open it on Windows in Paint
 - deselect Draw Opaque under Image menu
 - select the Text tool and next to the line "Arial 13pt"
type the same text and select font Arial 13pt
 - Line up the baselines

 - As a result: Linux text at 13pt will be 2px shorter at the top
of small letters, and 4px shorter at the top of capitals
