My 15" LCD is set to 800x600 under windows, but 1024 mode under Linux. It appears the size of everything is the same as that at 800 under window. While 1024 mode under window is very small to work on. So I think actual font size should be related to other factors as well.
IMO, the most important part for J is a consistent gui. For example wd uses logical unit (not pixel) for xywh, if a 10-character 10-point "courier new" string just fit the size of a textbox of 40 unit wide, it should be the same in Linux. As noted previously, current window rendering engine is not perfect. if a 10-character 10-point "courier new" string just fit the size of a textbox of 40 unit wide, it may not be the case for 15-point font with 60 unit wide textbox. -- regards, bill ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
