The Java font selection dialog unfortunately uses the point size selected directly for its sample text display and typically this will be too small. This all relates back to a day one bug (acknowledged by Sun) in not making a distinction between points and pixels. When the point size is returned to J its use in a fontspec as points will make adjustments to try to get a 'more accurate' size font. The effort to fix this is beyond the scope of J601.

In beta w, Font Selection tool (compared to resulting J display)

- on Linux: matches with J display, but both are smaller sizes
  (than standard web-based)

- on Win-Java: tool shows smaller size, while J display is correct

Note 2: the font selection tool should display the
fonts in correct sizes and the same as they end
up in J forms.
