I understand the general problem with the squished forms and will fix it.
There were lots of problems in Jwdp form painting and in general it is much
improved. But there is still a missing 'show at the proper size' in a few
places.
Probably the only fix for the truncated text in a few places is to rework
those form to have slightly larger buttons. Trouble is that at a fixed size
button and a fixed font Jwdp gives differing amounts of space for text on
different platforms (and of course this is different again from windows
where most of the forms were originally designed). The only fix for this is
to generous with form space design for cross platform.
You can run a new J session on the Mac by directly clicking on the red J
icon in the j602 folder. Clicking the icon on the dashboard activates an
existing session.
There seem to be ways to get dashboard menu options through the use of ctrl
key and perhaps one of these could be set up to start a new copy of J but I
don't know how to do this.

Subject: [Jbeta] Jwdp issues
In Jwdp under Vista or Leopard (haven't tested XP),
* A number of forms initially display all squashed up so I can't see the
contents, only the border of the form. If I resize the form everything
is fine. Examples:
Debug toolbar.
Run > Debug
Run > Project Manager > File > Recent
Run > Project Manager > File > Notes
Run > Project Manager > Project > Build Options
* The text on a number of buttons are abbreviated. Examples
Run > Project Manager > Project > Build Option > Build Now
Run > Project Manager > Source/Project/Other tabs > Remove
Run > Project Manager > Library > <</>>
The following might just be me being unfamiliar with Macs!
In Leopard (with J602cbeta installed in Applications)
* I can't seem to open more than one copy of Jwdp
* When I click the "Add" button in the "Project" tab of the Project
Manager, I can't see a way to specify a new file (e.g. new file to be
target).
The title bar and task bar icons for the Jwdp versions still appear to
only have simple transparency rather than alpha-channel (may simply not
have been targeted for c beta?).
