May be Chris is also waiting for the jhs to clean up the jgtk one. ;-) Please remember that lab and demos is an accumulation of work from more than a dacade, it is not a easy task for Chris and Eric alone to clone them using another gui framework. It would more reasonable to settle for final J7 with a limited gui demo and labs. And then add more in the coming years.
Again if you can provide a list of demos or labs that work in current gtk, I'll to happy to add them to a menubar. However I have no interest to convert current wd gui.
