Contrary to prior versions of SlimServer where MySQL was optional and/ or not officially supported, 6.5 will work only with MySQL. Therefore it is built-in, binaries are included, and SlimServer runs a custom, tuned, instance of mysqld automatically. The goal is the user doesn't have to know or care that we're using MySQL. Current trunk isn't quite at this transparent stage yet, but if you have to do anything special to get MySQL working (on a supported platform), it's a bug.
