I'm suggesting that it's foolish to try and deal with all the problems in the latest 6.5 until they're better sorted out. For instance, I've yet to see any indication in these forums that anyone has gotten the latest 6.5 to successfully run on Windows. Prior to the code merger at revision 7502 and later, 6.5 was quite stable and IMO had a lot going for it. So if you want to run 6.5, particularly if you haven't done so up until now, you're best off with a pre-7502 release, or the 5/23 nightly.
And if you take that advice to run an older rev of 6.5, and wish to run with MySQL, you'll need to follow the instructions in the wiki. You'll have to install MySQL server, create an empty database, create a database user, install the necessary MySQL Perl modules, and edit your prefs file. -- JJZolx Jim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ JJZolx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24260 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
