It's a simple observation.  Certainly, no one would complain about
stability enhancements; indeed it would certainly be a much welcomed
development.

But I don't think it's unfair to say that end users are looking for
major upgrades in the interface.  The user interface is ancient and
hasn't seen any major developments in the several years that I've been
using it.  If six or eight months from now (the typical time fram for
releases, even if they're only pushed out by major hardware releases)
the only visible changes are a "progress bar" for scans, then users are
probably not going to be too keen on upgrading.
