SC is a server, its not meant to be a player. The PC-based player is
Softsqueeze, AFAIK its your only option if you want sync (and
Softsqueeze is likely to be the wekk link in any sync setup, I think)

Yes, more than one. From SC or the SB interface you can Browse Music
Folder to the recently added music, and it will be added ot the
library. Or you can run the scan as "look for new and changed music",
which you can do from the web interface or from the command line (I
have it built into my ripping/filing scripts for example)

One other comment - if you're just starting with this then you may be
more comfortable with the released 6.5.x version, 7.0 is definitely
still beta (although good enough for many users, it seems) - for
example not all plugins are available yet.
