Have I missed something? A 6.x plug-in won't work "as is" with version
7, will it? Since plug-ins MUST be rewritten to work in version 7,
hopefully the developers will clean up their code and avail themselves
of some of the new APIs, e.g. the preferences name spaces, etc.

BTW, yes, the plug-in system does allow people like me, who know
NOTHING about perl programming, to dabble and potentially break our
servers.

How throughly are the plug-ins that get promoted on the SlimDevices
"SlimServerPlugins" page vetted? Perhaps some kind of user rating and
comment system on the web page, a la Firefox's add-ons page, could
help. But I suppose that that will be developed down the road along
side the plug-in manager.
