MY original SC7 install may have been as long as two months ago although I guess at it being only a month old. However, my problem started with an insall of a month ago which would not allow the Jive remote to update. To rectify this (and a perceived GUI problem) I reinstalled entirely from scratch (as I thought) only three days ago. Since then I've updated the software once, yesterday (I think). This is how I attempted a clean install:
Uninstall via Add/Remove programs Deleted C:\Program Files/Server directory Deleted C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter I did not edit the registry. I now have: SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0 - 14994 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252 Installed into C:\Program Files\SlimServer (by default.. I did not tell it where to install). It seems to work mostly although scans fail a lot (I've assumed that this is due to the wireless connection of the machine to the music drives though) and changing the SlimServer port to 9001 did not update the SlimCentre tray shortcut. I've just spent an hour configuring the menus and installing/configuring various plugins etc.... :-( MC -- ModelCitizen It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
