Right. I am tempted to uninstall SlimServer using the method above plus removing any instances of SlimServer and SqueezeCentre from my registry and then try installing the latest nightly.
As SC7 and plugin preferences are saved into Application Data I can copy/keep these and that they will work when I manage to get SC7 installed correctly. I'm sure I can get Alien BBC to work without using the Windows installer.
