I'd hang on to the LinkSys (they're good little boxes) and have a go at
tweaking the settings. Like most routers these days, the default is to
have DHCP on. All you should need to do is turn this off and change
it's IP address to one on the same sub-net as youre existing network,
but different to your existing router. For example, if the other router
is 192.168.0.1 make the LinkSys 192.168.0.20 or something. There's some

Note that the default IP address is 192.168.1.1 so if that's the
address of your existing router you'll have problems with your set-up
unless you (a) turn off the existing router first during config or (b)
connect a computer to the LinkSys that's not on the other network (e.g.
using ethernet for simplicity), then point your browser to
http://192.168.1.1 and you're off & running.
