michael- here's a synopsis of my situation:
I upgraded from 6.5.4 to sc7.0 about two weeks ago. All went very smoothly with the upgrade. when i upgraded I didn't do a clean install and therefore, my cache folder was still called slimserver instead of squeezecenter. at that point i could freely do rescans. however, I'm a big user of erlands plugins and I was finding trackstat and dynamic playlist to be very buggy in 7. therefore i upgraded to 7.1. my problems didn't go away so my next step was to do a clean intall of sc7 again. it's when i did a clean intall of sc7 that my rescan problems began. I have since upgraded to 7.1 but the rescan problem persists. I would attach the scanner log but it doesn't show anything after 4-9-08. I've turned on all of the appropriate debugging items in logging but my scanner log shows nothing at all.
