I have just purchased a SB Receiver and have been amazed by the sound it produces (connecting via my CD player's DAC into ATC 'speakers) when playing DG FLAC and Linn "studio master" downloads. Just as good, if not better, than playing CDs directly! I'm using the SC 7.3.2 beta.
I am now thinking about purchasing a Transporter, a NAS and a suitable audio interface box, to start ripping LPs. (I've got a couple of other questions which I'll post on the relevant forums). So, my question is: Is there are build of the 7.3.2 beta that can be used on a QNAP NAS (probably one of the 209 or 409 models)? The reason I am asking is that, when using the SBR (rather than a Transporter), I am thinking that it would be a good think to have the new 96/24 transcoding feature in 7.3.2. Does this make sense? Any advice would be gratefully accepted!
