I think I disagree with the hold back sentiment. I like the new releases, and the new features, and I want more.
Nobody likes bugs, but we all know they're going to be there. Everyone wants the best product at the earliest possible date. Just how to deliver that is, to me, the real question. One would suspect Logitech / SD already have a protocol for testing, and that it already includes a really big list of test cases - and yet bugs still get through. I'm sure that's part of the reason software companies release alphas, betas and .0's. They need the early adopters to find the bugs the testers missed. The fastest, and most thorough way to find and get bugs fixed, is to get the product out there as soon as possible to as wide an audience as possible. If longer they sit on it, the longer it will take to get bugs resolved. I think it's pretty simple. If you don't want a .0 release, don't download one. Hoping is one thing, but expecting or requiring a .0 to have only a few minor issues is probably not going to happen. -- eganders ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eganders's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=25846 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62405 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
