This is true. Albums that have differing artists are automatically picked up as being compilations, unless that is overridden by having an Album Artist tag. As Frank has an album artist present, the scanner doesn't see it as a compilation, but as an album by <album artist>. Two options: 1) Remove the album artist, and SC will show the album as a compilation automatically. This is perhaps the best course of action if you only use SqueezeCenter. If you also use other apps, you may want the album artist tag still though, to group all songs on the album together under that artist name (or "Various Artists" if it's a compilation, for example). In which case, 2) Add a compilation tag. This depends on the file/tag format. eg. for mp3 id3v2.3, you could use Mp3Tag to set ITUNESCOMPILATION=1 (which actually stores in a non-standard frame invented by Apple, called TCMP). Alternatively, add a custom tag called "COMPILATION" (most likely only used by SqueezeCenter). _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
