I don't think a stronger warning will change users' behaviour. Many
users installed the beta because

- They are WHS users and the easy installation is using 7.4 MSI
- They have a problem and have found 7.4 solved their problem.
- Followed forum advice - one user following forum advice is using an
svn and seemed to think "svn" is advanced releases.
- the user (incorrectly) feels they can take the risk and tolerate loss
of service. These user will always misjudge warnings no matter how
strong.

Many users have installed a beta and they forget they are running a
beta - some of the 7.4 complainers have very old 7.4's. If you are
worried about not strong enough warning then the word "BETA" should be
in large red letter on WebUI and when users look at player information.

The basis for the current rash of complaints for this particular beta
is not with SC but the controller FW.
- the forced installation of a new FW even though the underlying SC was
not the correct rev should not have happened. This is still causing
problems are users move to r7115.
- pushing out the FW on a Saturday so that users will have 2 days
without support to help them.
- When FW updates are offered - users must be offered a way of refusing
it. The current model has unsolicited FW updates and no choice to
postpone update.
