Found I had 4/5 albums set with 'compilation=0' and 4,500 tracks with 'compilation=1'.
Have removed the =0 and now removing all the 'Compilation=1' tags and will rescan to see if that changes performance. Also observed that the single artist genres played the only album tagged with that genre if play was hit at the genre level. i.e. browse to 'Porgressive Rock', press Play and you get Doves 'Some Cities', which had been tagged as just 'Progressive Rock' despite a drill down on Progressive showing Doves then all Doves albums. However, I can't repeat this now, as I have cleaned up the tags and now the genre is showing Empty (wait and see if rescan clears it). BREAKING NEWS, MP3Tag not even finsihed updating the 4,500 'compilation=1' and I can't repeat the issue, which was clearly there yesterday. Only things I think have changed is the removal of 'compilation=0' and addition of one new album.
