I do have I bugzilla account but don't care if this is dropped in favour
of the forum account.

Maybe you should just create a new forum thread (or poll) with an
announcement of some migration strategy (like - all bugzilla accounts
get synchronized, if email-matches, all other accounts are renamed to
${username}_OLDBUGZILLA or the like to avoid future clashes).
Then write an email to all current bugzilla-users asking for their
participation thus everyone is informed and still have a chance to
adopt.
If you get good feedback, just do it !

I think this is a good idea but hard to enforce.
On the other hand logitech developers who are always in copy could
create and link a new forum thread discussion anytime they feel they are
spammed with comments in the bug.
