We should do everything to encourage and make participation easy. I came across Bugzilla from a post when ased to vote. First time registration deterred me, next time I registered. On clearly identified issues, tracking bugs provides more succinct information than trawling forums.
Multiple sign-on's is a definite turn-off to newbies. However, something needs to stop Bugzilla comments becoming an alternate forum.
