there's absolutely nothing wrong with mp3tag, it's probably the most
powerful and versatile tag editor out there.  It shows tag contents
correctly, albeit it does display tag names for mp3 as more meaningful
descriptors for users that don't care to understand what things like
TPE2 represent.  If it's a major issue (I can see that it can be
frustrating for a developer wanting to understand their software's
behavior) an enhancement request should be filed on the mp3tag forum. 
I've no mp3 files to check against, but there's nothing stopping one
from changing the tag descriptors to say TPE2 etc.
