How should it work?
Does it need to be fixed?
How?

Seems to me that these prefs control two things which really need to be
mutually exclusive:

- The contributors that appear in the 'Artists' browse list.
- The albums that appear for a contributor.

I may want 'Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart' to appear in the Browse Artists
list if I have classical music in my collection. But at the same time I
_don't_ want to see several dozen albums for Boby Dylan where 'Bob
Dylan' is cited as COMPOSER on one or more tracks. More and more
ripping and tagging programs are adding COMPOSER fields to popular
music tracks. This make using 'Composer in Artists' increasingly
difficult.

The current implementation doesn't work well, but it's fairly obvious
why it works as it does. If you include composers in the artist list
then you must also include any albums by composers in album lists.

Here are a couple of possible solutions:

- Offer 'Browse Composers', 'Browse Conductors', 'Browse Orchestras'
in My Music. Never mix these roles into the 'Browse Artists' list.
Keep the three prefs, but use them instead to enable each of the new
  browsing modes.

- In the Browse Artists list, have separate entries for each role
that a contributor may have. And for each contributor entry, filter
and list only albums on which the contributor holds that specific
role. The three prefs would be retained and used much as they are
now. For example, if both the 'Composers' and 'Conductors' roles were
checked in the prefs, you might see the following in artists:

  André Previn
  André Previn [Composer]
  André Previn [Conductor]
