Better for the Revue and Squeezebox if the Revue had a Squeezebox client
for music using SBS, allowing full Squeezebox functionality, and a
separate DLNA Server licenced from a 3rd party.

Some major things missing from the DLNA Server are:
- Lack of comprehensive transcoding to/from video formats, offered by
competing servers
- Lack of integration of online/3rd party metadata sources for video
such as XBMC or online resources such as www.themoviedb.org and
www.thetvdb.com

Use of a Squeezebox client on the Revue would allow synchronised audio
playback and coordinated playlists across all Logitech products and
would do far more to ensure a future for SBS (and Squeezebox AND
Revue!).

The crude DLNA server in LMS makes the Revue a less attractive product
than it could be and pressure on the small dev team to improve it eg.
to offer the features above would detract from any efforts to move SBS
forward. God forbid they decide the only solution is to move to an
exclusively DLNA platform for music and the rest, which would kill
Squeezebox when compared with other audiophile players such as Sonos.
