It's set by the installer - that's what threw me - in previous versioons
it wasn't.  

Annoying that nobody from Logitech could offer a solution - I just
stumbled onto my 'fix' by uninstalling everything as a last try - then I
thought what the heck, modify the default properties.   By this point I
had nothing to lose.
