Remember that some people wish to never have compilation albums (no explicit tags, no auto compilation detection). They would explicitly tag (or retrieve from a metadata source), such that there was an Album Artist = Various Artists and no compilation tag. To LMS scanner, this is just a regular album with an album artist denoting the main artist for the album. Why shouldn't Various Artists exist in the list in this case, it is just the name of an artist. In fact Artists > Various Artists could have a mixture of regular or compilation albums by the artist Various Artists. It should not be treated differently from any other artist name.
