I understand that favourites were initially for streams (eg. on-line radio channels), and it was useful to click a favourite and immediately start playing that source. However, when making an artist or genre a favourite, it's really not all that useful.
Fully agreed. Hmm... I think some work was done a few years ago. Maybe I can find some branch with work I could learn from. I'll put that on my list.
