If we want to continue discussing this it's probably a good idea to
start a separate thread for it so we can keep this thread focused at
wishing new functionality in 7.9. If we keep all discussions in this
thread the amount of posts are going to make it easy to miss other
ideas.
>From my perspective, what we really need is flexibility, because the
needs are different depending on your tagging philosophies, type of
music and the size of your library. Due to this the important part is
actually to have support for different browse methods in the backend so
it's possible for third party developers to provide different plugins
for different needs. I realise this might feel like we just postpone
things, but to be realistic I think we need to face the fact that
Logitech isn't investing much in LMS improvements these days, so we
really need to make sure the time they invest can be focused on making
the LMS platform extensible so it's easier for third party developers to
contribute solutions for the specific needs.
