I understand that favourites were initially for streams (eg. on-line radio channels), and it was useful to click a favourite and immediately start playing that source. However, when making an artist or genre a favourite, it's really not all that useful.
If I mark an artist as a favourite, it only allows me to play or add everything by that artist. Being a favourite artist, it's likely that the user has several albums by that artist, and playing all music by the artist isn't very helpful. This is especially the case with a genre. We now have the option of making a new browse mode for a chosen genre, so setting a genre as a favourite has in some ways been depricated. It would be better if there was an option to browse to the favourite item, whether that be an artist, album, genre, playlist, etc. From there the user could do all the standard usual things - play an album, start a mix, etc. _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
