A friend of mine - having run LMS for a long time - reported exactly the
same a few days ago, that is before updating to 10.10.1.

We tried several complete uninstalls (as explained 'here'
(http://forums.logitech.com/t5/MySqueezebox-com-Squeezebox/Uninstalling-Logitech-Media-Server-on-Mac-with-OS-X-Lion/td-p/818983))
to do a clean instal of 7.8.1 as well as 7.7.4.

Nothing changed: Server will not start.
