- Spotify (Triode)
Once you've hit the update button, wait a minute before you actually
restart LMS. Triode's plugin (and others potentially, too) are pretty
large and can take a while to download. LMS isn't very smart about this
and would ask you to restart immediately, potentially long before it is
done downloading. Therefore the updates would fail.
LMS 7.9 should have addressed this issue. But I might to review it if
you're still facing the same issue.

Oh, this might be another reason for the failure. I think there's some
hack you have to apply when trying to install LMS on the QNAP. Otherwise
it fails to load some of the modules it requires to eg. extract the
plugins. Please check the QNAP related threads, search for Archive::zip
