If you were to use this, obviously you'd schedule it when there's nothing going on. For example, if you do a nightly rescan at 5AM (using the Rescan Music Library plugin), schedule the server to restart at 4:50AM.
It's something of a last resort, in any case. I would think that one of the few things that would cause LMS to become unresponsive after several days of use might be if memory usage got out of control. That can sometimes happen with misbehaved 3rd party plugins.
