Wasabi would be a good choice as an early "let's get into a gaming
mood" game.   I also recommend Hanging Gardens as nice gateway game.
I'd go with TTRE over Settlers, but if your wife would prefer
Settlers, I've found it to work well as a gateway game (heck... it's
one of MY original gateway games way back when)
