I was also going to recommend Mr. Jack. It sounds to me like it meets
your requirements well. It's got a very well defined maximum play
length (predetermined number of rounds if Jack isn't accused or
doesn't escape), quick set up, doesn't take much room, and offers a
satisfying level of depth and replayability.
